Our Story
Founded in 2017, iPlume Writing Inc. is a Canadian, Certified Woman-Owned business recognized as a national leader in grant writing, proposal development, and professional writing services.
From our beginnings as a small writing company, we have grown into an award-winning company that has helped secure more than $40 million in funding for Canadian organizations and businesses.
At iPlume, we believe writing is more than words on a page. It is a strategic tool for growth, recognition, and impact. We partner with people doing thoughtful, impactful work, helping them transform ideas into clear, effective writing that opens doors and leads to real outcomes.
Our Founder
iPlume Writing Inc. was founded by Amanda Rogers, a seasoned nonprofit leader and grant strategist with over 20 years of experience in senior management and funding roles. She holds an Advanced Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master of Arts in Child and Youth Study and has dedicated much of her career to supporting underserved and marginalized communities, including Indigenous, racialized, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, as well as women, youth, and children.
Before launching iPlume, Amanda spent years securing major multi-year grants, building partnerships, and managing funded programs. She also taught English in South Korea and has travelled to more than 25 countries, bringing a global perspective and cultural understanding to her work.
In 2017, Amanda recognized the growing need for expert grant writing and funding support in Canada and founded iPlume Writing Inc. to help organizations clearly communicate their ideas, secure vital resources, and grow sustainably. Under her leadership, iPlume has become a trusted national partner serving clients across Canada and internationally.
Our Name
The name iPlume was inspired by Amanda’s father, an author. It combines “plume,” the earliest writing tool, with “i,” representing innovation and technology. Together, they reflect the company’s philosophy: blending the art of writing with the precision of modern communication.
From its inception, iPlume has operated as a fully digital company, providing writing and training services to clients across Canada and in more than 20 countries worldwide.
